Frontlist: What inspired you to transition into the publishing industry, and how did the idea of RidhzWorld Publishing come about?

Radhicka: My transition into the publishing industry was driven by a deep passion for nurturing young talent and promoting the love of reading and writing. My son, Ridhhaan Jaiin, inspired me with his interest in writing and his desire to help other talents, which sparked a realization of the incredible potential in children's creativity. Witnessing this potential, I felt a strong desire to create a platform where young voices could flourish. That’s how RidhzWorld Publishing was born.

I wanted to build a platform where voices of all authors irrespective of their age could be heard and their unique perspectives could shine. My goal has always been to nurture talent, encourage creativity, and provide the tools and opportunities needed to bring stories to life, creating a memorable experience for every author and their readers.

Frontlist: Have your previous experiences in HR, marketing, and event management influenced your approach to running the publishing house?

Radhicka: Absolutely. My background in HR, marketing, and event management has been invaluable in shaping the approach to running RidhzWorld Publishing. From HR, I've learned the importance of building a supportive and collaborative team culture, which is crucial for fostering creativity and productivity. Marketing skills have been essential in promoting our authors and their works, as well as in building brand awareness for the publishing house. Event management experience has been particularly useful in organizing book launches, writing competitions, and other events that engage the community and celebrate our authors. These experiences collectively contribute to a holistic approach to publishing, where the focus is not just on producing books but also on creating meaningful connections with readers and the wider literary community.

Frontlist: RidhzWorld Publishing is recognized for its inclusive platform and dedication to first-time authors. What criteria do you use to select these young talents, and how does your team support and nurture them throughout the publishing process?

Radhicka: Being a first-time author, generally, they are unfamiliar with the publishing world. Here, RidhzWorld Publishing goes the extra mile to educate first-time authors about the publishing process and its intricacies. We believe in making these authors feel welcomed by providing personalized guidance and support, ensuring they understand each step.

Our selection criteria for young talents focus on creativity, originality, and the potential to inspire. We look for stories with unique perspectives, reflecting personal experiences, imagination, or meaningful messages. We value diversity in themes, styles, and voices, providing a platform for stories that resonate with a broad audience.

Once a manuscript is selected, we offer comprehensive support, including editorial guidance to refine their work while maintaining the author's voice. Our team helps authors understand the publishing process from manuscript preparation to marketing.

We empower our authors by equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the literary world confidently. We celebrate their achievements through events and book launches, providing them with exposure and a sense of accomplishment. Our goal is to nurture a lifelong passion for writing and storytelling, encouraging young authors to continue exploring and developing their craft.

Frontlist: What sets RidhzWorld Publishing apart from other publishing houses, and how does your vision drive the unique services and approaches you offer to authors?

Radhicka: RidhzWorld Publishing distinguishes itself through a steadfast commitment to nurturing young, first-time authors and creating an inclusive platform for diverse voices. Our primary focus is on empowering young storytellers, offering them a unique opportunity to share their narratives with the world. This vision is at the heart of our approach, shaping the services and support we provide.

What sets us apart is our dedication to guidance and mentorship. Unlike many publishing houses, we don't just focus on the finished product; we invest in the development of our authors. We provide comprehensive guidance throughout the publishing journey, helping young authors understand the intricacies of writing, editing, and marketing their books. This supportive environment encourages creativity and confidence, allowing authors to express themselves fully and authentically.

Additionally, our commitment to inclusivity ensures that we celebrate and promote a wide range of stories and perspectives. We believe in the power of diverse narratives to inspire, educate, and connect readers across different cultures and backgrounds.

Our vision drives us to continually innovate and adapt our services to meet the needs of our authors. This holistic approach not only sets RidhzWorld Publishing apart but also fosters a community of passionate, talented writers who are ready to make their mark on the literary world.

Frontlist: With the growing use of AI in content creation, how do you think AI will impact the role of human creativity in writing and publishing? Do you see AI as a tool that enhances the publishing process, or are there concerns about it potentially overshadowing human authorship?

Radhicka: AI's growing role in content creation presents both opportunities and challenges for the writing and publishing industries. On one hand, AI can be a powerful tool that enhances the publishing process. It can assist with tasks such as proofreading, editing, and data analysis, allowing authors and publishers to streamline workflows and focus more on creative aspects. AI can also provide valuable insights into market trends, reader preferences, and content performance, helping authors tailor their work to better meet audience needs.

However, there are legitimate concerns about AI potentially overshadowing human authorship. The unique insights, emotions, and experiences that human writers bring to their work are irreplaceable. While AI can generate text and even mimic certain styles, it lacks the depth of human creativity and the ability to truly understand and convey complex emotions and cultural nuances.

At RidhzWorld Publishing, we view AI as a complementary tool rather than a replacement for human creativity. We believe that the heart of storytelling lies in the human experience and the ability to connect with readers on a personal level. Our focus remains on nurturing and promoting original voices, ensuring that technology serves to enhance, not diminish, the role of human authorship.

Ultimately, the integration of AI in publishing should be approached thoughtfully and ethically, with a commitment to preserving the authenticity and integrity of human creativity.

Frontlist: As digital formats continue to grow, do you believe print books will ever become obsolete, or is there a unique value in physical books that will endure?

Radhicka: While digital formats are undeniably on the rise, offering convenience and accessibility, we believe that print books hold a unique and enduring value that is unlikely to be rendered obsolete. Physical books provide a tangible experience that digital formats can't fully replicate. The sensory aspects—such as the feel of the paper, the sound of turning pages, and even the distinct smell of a book—create a personal and immersive experience for readers.

Moreover, print books often serve as cherished keepsakes and can hold sentimental value, making them treasured possessions for many. The act of gifting a physical book, the joy of browsing through a library or bookstore, and the visual appeal of a well-organized bookshelf all contribute to the lasting appeal of print.

Print books also offer practical advantages, such as being free from the need for electronic devices or batteries, making them accessible in situations where digital devices may not be suitable or desirable. They are also valuable in educational settings, where the physical interaction with text and the ability to annotate can enhance learning.

Frontlist: How do you view the role of sustainability in the publishing industry, and what specific measures is RidhzWorld Publishing taking to address environmental concerns?

Radhicka: Sustainability is an important consideration in the publishing industry as we seek to minimize our environmental impact. At RidhzWorld Publishing, we are committed to adopting practices that support sustainability and environmental stewardship.

While we recognize the unique value of print books, we also understand the environmental benefits of digital formats. Therefore, we offer e-books and digital publications as alternatives to printed copies, catering to readers who prefer a more sustainable option and reducing the demand for paper and ink.

To further support sustainability, we adopt print-on-demand technology. This approach allows us to produce books as they are ordered, which not only reduces waste but also ensures that resources are used more efficiently by eliminating the need for large print runs and excess inventory.

Additionally, we are exploring partnerships and initiatives focused on conservation. By collaborating with organizations dedicated to environmental stewardship, we aim to support broader efforts to reduce our ecological footprint. These collaborations help us stay informed about best practices and allow us to contribute positively to the community.

At RidhzWorld Publishing, we are committed to consistently advancing and adopting environmentally responsible practices in our operations. We believe that every step towards sustainability, no matter how small, contributes to a healthier planet and a more responsible publishing industry.

Frontlist: Where do you see the future of the publishing industry headed, particularly with the rise of audiobooks and e-books?

Radhicka: The publishing industry is experiencing significant evolution, driven by technological advancements and changing consumer preferences. The rise of audiobooks and e-books is a key trend shaping the future of the industry, offering new opportunities and challenges.

Audiobooks have grown rapidly in popularity due to their convenience and accessibility. They cater to a diverse audience, including those who prefer listening over reading, people with visual impairments, and individuals who enjoy multitasking. The immersive nature of audiobooks, often enhanced by professional narration, has opened up new avenues for storytelling and audience engagement. At RidhzWorld Publishing, we recognize the growing demand for audiobooks and offer this format to reach a wider audience.

E-books offer portability and ease of access, allowing readers to carry a vast library on a single device. They are particularly appealing for their convenience, instant availability, and the ability to adjust text size and format. E-books also align with sustainable practices by reducing the demand for paper and physical storage space. We provide e-book services to cater to readers who prefer this digital format.

Looking ahead, the publishing industry is likely to continue exploring digital formats alongside traditional print. This hybrid approach allows publishers to reach a broader audience, catering to different reading preferences and lifestyles. Additionally, digital innovations may lead to new forms of interactive and multimedia content, further enriching the reading experience.

While digital formats are growing, print books will continue to hold a special place in the hearts of readers. The tactile experience, the aesthetic appeal of a physical book, and the tradition of collecting and gifting books ensure that print will remain an enduring part of the literary landscape.

At RidhzWorld Publishing, we’re thrilled to offer a range of reading experiences through our audiobook and e-book services. By embracing these digital formats alongside traditional print, we aim to provide our readers with diverse and engaging ways to enjoy our stories.
